Case Study: TectaAmerica Corp.

Background:

Tecta America Corp. is the nation's leading roofing contractor. With more than 35 locations and over 1,800 qualified roofing professionals nationwide, Tecta America has harnessed the strengths and resources of the nation's strongest roofing contractors into one company with one goal: to provide the most comprehensive roofing program in the country to meet and exceed our customers' needs.

Project Specs:
  • Redesign of all division web sites for TectaAmerica
  • Redesign of Corporate Web Presence
  • Content Management System (Centralized)
  • News management and RFP system (Centralized)
  • Central administrative system

Challenge:

TectaAmerica's increase in number of offices and divisions and the increase in growth rate of company's services had created a total of 15 web sites (and counting) was hampering the ability of the web administrators to effectively manage site content and delegate inquiries in an effective manner across multiple channels.

As a result information flow had become a big challenge and TectaAmerica required a system that was both manageable and scalable to company's increasing growth needs.

In addition, each division web site had either an outdated web presence or one that was not relating to TectaAmerica's marketing needs.

Project Development and Solution:

HindSite Interactive approached the project in 4 phases:

I. Redesign of each division web site (In order of priority by client)
II. Redesign of corporate web presence
III. Development of Central Management System
IIII. Integration of division and corporate site to Central Management System

First a web interface that appealed to the core identity of TectaAmerica and it's divisions was developed. The main division interface served as the back-bone to which all division web sites were developed upon. This would in turn appeal to Tecta's corporate new identity.

In phase II, the corporate web presence was revamped with updated information and access to all other divisions.

In Phase III, modules for the Central Management System were developed. This central system is the heart of Tecta's web presence allowing site administrator(s) to update and manage specific information across their suit of web sites, track and manage RFP requests, and support their subscribers through their newsletter system.

New Design Model:

Tecta America's new web presence has improved information flow and management of site functions across both their corporate and divisions web site.

The CMS system's central function allows for one point of entry to manage information with ease. Permission control allows restrictive access to specific division related information by each local admin.

And the overall new presence of TectaAmerica web sites provides a more powerful and streamlines web presence, and a scalable system that will allow for integration of an unlimited number of divisions to the system.
